These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Spåna, operated by Inellipse ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the service you agree to these Terms. This is a placeholder agreement for the beta period and will be updated before general availability.
1. The service
Spåna monitors smart-home sensors connected to your IKEA DIRIGERA hub and sends notifications based on rules you configure. It consists of a service we operate and an agent you run on your own network.
2. Beta status
Spåna is currently offered as a free beta. It is provided for evaluation and may change, be interrupted, or be discontinued at any time. Features, limits, and availability may change without notice during the beta.
3. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 16 years old to use Spåna. You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information, for keeping your credentials and API keys secure, and for all activity under your account.
4. Your responsibilities
- You provide and maintain your own DIRIGERA hub, network and devices.
- You will only connect hubs and devices you are authorised to use.
- You will not misuse the service, attempt to disrupt it, or use it to violate any law or the rights of others.
5. Not a life-safety system
Spåna is a convenience and awareness tool. It depends on your hub, your network, your internet connection, and third-party notification providers, any of which can fail or be delayed. Do not rely on Spåna as a sole means of detecting emergencies such as fire, intrusion, medical events, or flooding. Always use certified, dedicated safety devices for life-safety needs.
6. Third-party services
Spåna works with third-party products and services (including your IKEA DIRIGERA hub and push-notification providers). We are not responsible for those products, and your use of them is governed by their own terms. Spåna is not affiliated with or endorsed by IKEA.
7. Intellectual property
We retain all rights in the Spåna service and software. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service in accordance with these Terms.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Inellipse will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from missed, delayed, or inaccurate notifications.
10. Termination
You may stop using Spåna and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or if we discontinue the service.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced through the service or by email before they take effect.
